How many colleges have won the original four major bowl games?

Rose Bowl Sugar Bowl Orange Bowl Cotton Bowl

How many colleges have won the original four major bowl games?
I know that Penn State, Ohio State, and Oklahoma have won all five major ones (Rose, Orange, Sugar, Cotton, Fiesta) and I believe you can add Alabama and Notre Dame to the list of teams that have won the four you mentioned (I know Michigan and Nebraska have not won all four, and neither has Southern California).
Reply:you can also add penn state, texas, miami, georgia and georgia tech to the list Report It

Reply:How many different schools have won those games or how many have won ALL 4 GAMES?

Girls..it's my partners b'day soon. suggestions plz?

ok, i would like serious suggestions as to what YOU would like on your birthday in the way of clothing. now we are talking 100 quid max here cos i know she dont like me to spend any more than that as we dont have much cash. so ladies, suggestions plz. it can be 1 item or many items (up to the £100). plz give colours (aqua, pink, rose, lilac etc), materials (silk, satin, cotton, etc) and item(s) (coat, corset, stockings, dress etc)

Girls..it's my partners b'day soon. suggestions plz?
does she have a mp3 yet? an orange one would look nice but it's safer to go with white or black
Reply:arrange for her to have a free consultation with a debanhams chlothes stylist and let her buy what she wants . id hate it if my hubby bought me clothes cos its not about size its about fit
Reply:I vote for some real nylon sheer stockings with either a satin corset, or a matching set of bra, garter (suspender)belt, and pantie or thong.

Colors you have mentioned are OK if she likes them, but black is far more exotic.
Reply:I would say a nice handbag is always a good idea. Gray or White big ones are big this spring and summer and you won't have the problem of getting the size wrong. Also, it's something she will get more use out of (and can show her mum when she askes what you got her) rather than the sexy undewear.

I'm not sure what clothes and jewellery she likes but you can get quite nice things in in silver from Tiffany's for under £100 which would make her feel a bit special.
Reply:If you're intimate with each other, a nice corset (not a see through one or anything), and some stockings is a nice present. I would certainly be happy with it ^_^ You can get nice corsets and stockings sets in play-nice styles at Anne Summers or anywhere like that. I would probably take her shopping though and ask her what she wants. Taking her for a meal would be a nicer, more appreciated gesture!

If you HAVE to get her clothing, then I would get her something special to wear on the evening. A nice dress perhaps, would do nicely, or a nice top and skirt. Most "going out" clothes are found in high street shops like New Look etc, at affordable prices. A coat would be a silly buy because it's getting towards summer! And I wouldn't know what colour, because I don't know what colour she likes or what would suit her! I would definitely try something silky, or soft to the touch though. I would definitely prefer it!

Try something that shows you've thought about her. Take notice of what she wears now, and what colours etc are in her wardrobe. If you can assimilate it, but not copy it, then you're on to a winner. Clothing doesn't have to be expensive, and I would most certainly get almost a full wardrobe with £100!!

Make sure you get her the right size though. And if in doubt about what to buy her, ask a shop assistant! They will always know what to do ^_^

And I'm loving your name... hentaihomo... it's a shame I study Japanese and know what that means!

Good luck, in love and light, Tasha x
Reply:How about some really pretty undies from la senza (nice set in pastel colour) If it was me, i'd be really happy if you spent about £50 on the underwear (silk would be really nice) and the rest of some really nice perfume (if you know what ones she likes) If she isnt into pricey perfumes then some luxury toiletries ( jo malone, philosophy, origins, clarins are all good brands) I think the message you'd be giving her would be a really good one personally. Good luck!
Reply:da best u can do is eitha take her awt 2 a very xquisit place 4 dinna or buy anythin u no desire most.
Reply:i would take her shopping so she can pick her own clothes. that way you dont have the hassle of buying her clothes and getting the wrong sizes.
Reply:A voucher for a days pampering at the beauticians

Do you agree with this proposal for the bcs?

have the 5 big bowls fiesta rose orange sugar and a rienstated cotton. be the site for the nat championship after a new playoff tournament. for example call it the orange bowl rose etc

Do you agree with this proposal for the bcs?
A Playoff system will never work because of the Holidays and Academic Schedules.

The NCAA will not come up with a 12-16 team playoff system because those games cannot be played in a 3 week window like Basketball, Lacrosse or anything else. A 8 team playoff system would probably work only if a selection committee picked the truly 8 best teams in the country independent of conference, strength of schedule, etc.
Reply:no
Reply:I dont really understand what your saying, but I had a BCS proposal a while ago. It would have 32 teams in it, and they would play in 4 divisions. When the divisons are down to 2 teams a piece, thats when the Rose, Fiesta, Orange and Sugar Bowl are played, and the winners of those games goes on to the Final Four, which would be in the city thats hosting the National Championship game. The Final Four would be played in the Championship game city.

This way, the BCS could keep all thier Big Bowls, keep the big bowl system operating like it does today, and they could satisfy the masses with March Madness like tournament (only it would be called December Madness).
Reply:While any placement would still be left in the hands of the voters, from there,( and lets assume a top 8 mini-playoff just for the sake of argument) one of those top 8 teams would have to beat 3 other top 8 teams in 3 consecutive weeks to be national champion. Personally, I think only 5-8 teams can legitimately be national championship contenders each year anyways, and whoever emerges from an 8 team playoff would have earned the championship, I think. Hard to debate against a team that beat 3 top 8 teams in 3 consecutive weeks in a playoff...Besides, the real argument that voters would have would be to determine that 8th spot...chances are good that most of the playoff positions would be really obvious. You could even make it 6 BCS conference champs plus 2 at larges or something...even then, you gotta beat the best in order to claim to be the best.

I also wonder about the logic of complaining about holidays...there are already bowl games played during Christmas week, when there are NO classes, and most colleges don't follow a straight 2 semester year anyway. A lot of those football players don't have any classes in January. Playing 3 games on 3 Saturdays is hardly taking away class time any more than a 65 team basketball tournament in March does, especially considering the basketball teams play during the week, and not just on Saturdays...Its a bogus excuse to claim that it would be detrimental to their studies.
Reply:no i don't
Reply:You are suggesting a Top Eight. How do those eight get there? It's back to the polls again. There's no difference.
Reply:HUH?
Reply:i have no clue what you are asking but i'm going to go with the play off system. the NCAA will never go for it with football. they make a lot of money of the bowl games (of which there are too many). The BCS is a very powerful organization.

How many seniors out there like country dancing?
country dancing rocks. love it. especially line dancing.
Reply:its fun to do haven't done it in forever
Reply:Two-step, Texas two-step, waltz, polka, scotisch (sp) -- ain't the opportunities nor barn dances that there used to be.
Reply:I love country dancing but seldom get a chance to participate. I know the Cotton Eyed Joe and once upon a time we could do the Ten Step. Don't know the others you mentioned. My husband and I have never enjoyed the honky-tonk atmosphere of drinking and cigarette smoke. We do get out there and dance at the wedding and anniversary parties.
Reply:I love to two step and do some of the line dances. I wish that I were better at this.........

Reply:I'm with Harley Lady...I've been taking East Coast Swing lessons for a while now. I'm thinking about taking "two step" lessons next.....then the Rumba. My mom is 85 years old and recently I moved her in with me as she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She is now on Hospice. Dancing is the only thing that is getting me through this.
Reply:I love country dancing Sway , Blue Rose and Ten Step....Is there any other kind of dancing!!
Reply:Yes, the ex and I took private dance lessons for 3 years because I wanted to learn the East coast swing. We liked it so much that we ended up learning all the country dances also.

Do you think college football should have a bowl tournament like the nfl ?

the rose bowl winner vs the cotton bowl winner for example !!!

Do you think college football should have a bowl tournament like the nfl ?
I would only agree with a playoff if the higher ranked team gets home field advantage.
Reply:I think there should be a 32 team playoff where the games take place at the bowl stadiums. So instead of New Orleans bowl always getting Sun Belt vs CUSA they can maybe have a SEC vs PAC 10 game. They keep Bowl games and we determine real champ. Report It

Reply:Hell yes, of course they should. The only people that think they shouldn't are people who make money off the BCS, or those who make money off the people who make money off the BCS.
Reply:Yes but it needs to be over sever weeks and the higher ranked team should have home field advantage. No matter where they play.
Reply:there should be some type of playoff. just like the ncaa does in basketball.
Reply:No the system is fine.
Reply:Right now the most probable transition to a playoff is the plus one format.. It is talked about most frequently as the replacement for the current BCS system. The top 4 teams in the BCS standings will play in two of the BCS bowl, which will be rotated every year.. The winners would play in the National Championship game. However, this would be an improvement, but the BCS rankings would be used and the teams that didnt make it would be complaining.
Reply:i would do absolutely anything to make people stop asking this question
Reply:Yes there should be a playoff system for college. The reason there is not is because there is big money to be made with the system they have now. People go crazy for college games so the NCAA is meeting demand. They know people will pay whatever in order to attend a game even if the school is truly NOT a top team.

And by not having a playoff system like the NFL, teams really dont know whos best.
Reply:i think they should do an 8 team playoff
Reply:No I completely disagree. I say there should be a 16-team playoff consisting of the eleven conferences (yes including the Sun Belt champs) and five at-large with the games being held at the home stadium of the highest seed ,except for the NCG of course (that would be at a neutral venue), just like the other divisions do.
Reply:NO!!!!!

leave it the way it is
Reply:Of corse! Then you can actually crown the best! Even if u barely squeek into the playoff you have a chance to win.
Reply:they've been talking about it
Reply:seriosly anything will be better then the bcs
Reply:yes, there will always have doubts about #1 until they do.
Reply:YES... anything is better than the joke of a system we have now...

Ok can you guys help me and tell me what this stuff is/means?
Raw milk is milk that has not been pasteurized or homogenized before consumption.

Rosewater is made from rose petals (to be non-technical).

Glycerine is a colorless, odorless, viscous (which means thick) liquid (jelly like) and is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. It is a sugar alcohol and fittingly is sweet-tasting and of low toxicity.

Cotton wool consists of silky fibers taken from cotton plants in their raw state.

Mint juice ... well, it's juice from Mint plant.

Ground cloves you can get at the grocery store.

Fullers Earth Natural Clay Absorbing Face Packs - these are made from Fuller's earth, an ancient dry cleaning substance.
Reply:a bunch of random ingredients... idk!!
Reply:Sounds like it is a kind of a MASK-MAKING RECIPIE...
Reply:sounds like an extremely nasty recipe 2 me. where did u get this?
Reply:they sounds like organic or old remedies

natural clay absorbing face packs help suck the oil out of your skin to clear it and prevent pimples
Reply:sounds almost like a facial thing. rose water is what it sounds like: rose petals boiled in water and then taken out. the water is "rose water". glycerin is in soap, and, when bought by itself, can be used to help heal very dry or irratated skin. it really helps. clay would be to reduce oil, i believe. hope that helps a bit
Reply:Raw milk is unpasteurized milk straight from the cow.

Rose water and glycerin is water scented with attar of rose and glycerin (aka glycerol, a by-product of soap making) that is used as a moisturizer.

mint juice is what you get when you crush mint plants and filter the solids out.

Ground cloves in obvious, fullers earth is a type of clay that was used to process wool fabrics to make them soft.

This last one is interesting because there is not such thing as and artificial clay. All clays are absorbent to some extent, think kitty litter which is ground bentonite clay.
