In the name of America: why is it so hard for a young woman to find a plain ol' pair of blue jeans?!?

Have normal blue jeans gone extinct? I find that no matter where i shop, every pair of blue jeans has spandex or lycra in it. I just want a pair of comfy, relaxed, durable blue jeans. i want to break them in myself, i don;t need to pay extra to have my pants maimed before i even put them on. And it doesnt help me that my legs are longer than the average and seemingly only available 32" inseam...why do men get the ease of measurements, and women just get a number...with no dimensions?


can anyone direct me to a peddler of a size 8, 36" inseam pair of mid-rise, relaxed, 100% cotton blue jeans. in fact, they dont even have to be blue. any color will do.. they can flare, they can be boot cut, whatever. i just dont want any spandex or lycra.
